Yogi Berra Baseball Bats

Lawrence Peter Berra was born in 1925 in St Louis Missouri. He played for the New York Yankees from 1946 to 1963 and the Mets in 1965. He is also one of only three players to win the MVP three times for the American League. He won in 1951, 1954 and 1955. He was also an all star 15 times and won 10 championships while he was playing. He went on to manage the Yankees for one season in 1964. After, he played 4 games with the Mets. He stayed with the Mets to coach for eight seasons. In 1972 he became the manager and was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

In 1976 he returned to the Yankees as a coach. In the next three years the Yankees won three division titles in a row. In 1984 he was named the manager but was fired in 1985 after only 15 games. He is considered to one of the 100 best baseball players of all time.
